With Fugro, VIAVI Strengthens its PNT Solutions

The most complete assurance of positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) services utilized in critical infrastructure operations globally is provided by Viavi Solutions’ robust timing clock system, SecurePNT 6200 with SecureTime services.

With the addition of the Fugro AtomiChron timing service, SecurePNT and SecureTime expand upon VIAVI’s well-established assured PNT solutions.

This allows for intelligent zero-trust multisource assurance that combines signals from GPS and GNSS constellations in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), Low Earth Orbit (LEO), and Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO).

Globally, critical networks such as 5G communications, energy, transportation, public safety, banking, defense, and data centers depend on freely accessible GPS and GNSS signals to synchronize according to time and place.

Sometimes these transmissions are blocked or spoofing, or there is a chance that the satellites themselves may be targeted, which might have disastrous results.
