With the addition of the Fugro AtomiChron timing service, SecurePNT and SecureTime expand upon VIAVI’s well-established assured PNT solutions.

This allows for intelligent zero-trust multisource assurance that combines signals from GPS and GNSS constellations in Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), Low Earth Orbit (LEO), and Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO).

Globally, critical networks such as 5G communications, energy, transportation, public safety, banking, defense, and data centers depend on freely accessible GPS and GNSS signals to synchronize according to time and place.

Sometimes these transmissions are blocked or spoofing, or there is a chance that the satellites themselves may be targeted, which might have disastrous results. Governments have started imposing regulations on critical infrastructure providers, requiring them to increase the resilience of their networks by using PNT services more sensibly.
