Schneider Electric Elevates Sumati Sahgal as VP, Secure Power & Data Centres

Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Sumati Sahgal as Vice President – Secure Power & Data Centres, Greater India Zone. In her new role, Ms. Sahgal will lead the company’s Secure Power and Data Centre business across the region, overseeing overall business performance, strategic execution, and customer experience.

This leadership move underscores Schneider Electric’s focus on strengthening its leadership pipeline and empowering experienced professionals to drive growth across strategic business areas. It also reinforces India’s growing importance as a key hub for digital infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable energy transformation within the company’s global vision.

As Vice President, Ms. Sahgal will be responsible for accelerating growth across Schneider Electric’s Secure Power and Data Centre portfolio, including data centres and other critical infrastructure.

Her priorities will include driving momentum in the cloud and service provider segment, positioning Schneider Electric as a leader in AI-ready infrastructure, and advancing the company’s specialist model from sales to delivery and services. She will also spearhead go-to-market initiatives, strengthen strategic customer engagement, and foster collaboration across partner ecosystems.

Before this elevation, Ms. Sumati Sahgal served as VP – Home Solutions for Schneider Electric India, where she led the Homes & Distribution division for the Greater India Zone. During her tenure, she championed portfolio innovation, led a major go-to-market transformation, and built a strong brand presence in the fast-evolving Indian consumer segment.

With over two decades of leadership experience across technology and telecommunications, Ms. Sahgal brings a proven track record in P&L management, business transformation, and customer-centric growth.

She holds an MBA in Marketing from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi.
