Rohde & Schwarz is gearing up to host its sixth Mobile Test Summit this October, shifting the global spotlight entirely to the emerging 6G standard.
Running as a three-part virtual event on October 7, 14, and 21, the summit will gather industry leaders, technology experts, and testing professionals to dissect the architectures that will define the next decade of wireless communication.
To accommodate a global audience, the sixth Mobile Test Summit‘s each session will be broadcast across multiple time zones. Registration is currently open on the Rohde & Schwarz website.
Each session covers one of three pillars of the emerging 6G standard: (1) AI-native RAN, (2) integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) and (3) non-terrestrial networks (NTN).
6G ecosystem into three core technical pillars, offering a comprehensive look at current research and future deployment hurdles:
- AI-Native RAN (October 7): The opening session dives into the convergence of network operations and AI computing on a single platform. Experts will break down how this unified architecture boosts overall network performance and what the industry requires to properly validate and test it.
- Integrated Sensing and Communication (October 14): The second session explores ISAC, a technology that forces existing radio infrastructure to pull double duty by simultaneously transmitting data and sensing the physical environment. Discussions will cover early market momentum, cross-industry use cases, and the implications for testing protocols.
- Non-Terrestrial Networks (October 21): The series finale shifts focus to the sky. By leveraging satellites, high-altitude platforms, and drones, NTN aims to deliver coverage where traditional ground-based networks cannot. The session will address current deployment opportunities, market trends, and the steep technical challenges still standing in the way of truly seamless global connectivity.
