Rapidus Corporation has teamed up with Cadence to push agentic AI deeper into advanced-node system-on-chip design, aiming to cut design turnaround time and lift overall SoC design quality. At the heart of the collaboration is the integration of the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent into the Rapidus AI-Agentic Design Solution, known as Raads, creating an AI-native environment for next-generation chip development.

The two companies say the joint effort combines Rapidus’ AI-driven design and manufacturing ecosystem for advanced?node semiconductors with Cadence’s agentic AI design orchestration technology.
The goal is to help design teams boost productivity, get complex SoCs to market faster and improve quality across every stage of the design lifecycle. Rapidus is targeting up to a 2X reduction in design turnaround time compared with traditional flows, underscoring how central AI-orchestrated design has become at cutting-edge nodes.
As AI infrastructure scales out and a new wave of physical AI-powered systems from vehicles to industrial equipment comes into focus, design teams need tight, system?level co?optimization across silicon, manufacturing, packaging and systems.
Agentic AI, which can coordinate and automate tasks end-to-end rather than simply assist individual steps, is emerging as a key enabler for these advanced SoCs.
Alongside the Cadence integration, Rapidus is expanding its Raads platform with two new offerings, Raads Navigator and Raads Indicator. These tools are designed to strengthen quality assurance and help engineers identify and resolve design issues more quickly.
Importantly, both have been wired into the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent, allowing agentic design orchestration to span key SoC workflows from early architectural exploration through implementation and signoff while automating and coordinating a wide array of tasks.
By applying data-driven optimization throughout the design process, Rapidus and Cadence aim to help teams better manage advanced-node complexity, improve design predictability and scale engineering productivity, all while driving toward the ambitious design TAT reduction targets Rapidus has set.
Rapidus and Cadence will spotlight the work at CadenceLIVE Japan 2026, where Dr. Atsuyoshi Koike, representative director and CEO of Rapidus, is scheduled to deliver a keynote on how Raads is evolving with Cadence’s agentic AI and EDA technologies to enhance efficiency and quality in advanced-node SoC development.
