NeoCortec has congratulated its distribution partner, Endrich Bauelemente Vertriebs, for winning the “Product of the Year 2026” award from the German electronics trade magazine Elektronik. The recognition was awarded for the NeoMesh USB-Gateway, which stood out in a competitive field of 80 products across eight categories.

In the Information Technology category, the product officially named “e-IoT-USBGW-MESH-NCxxx-USB” secured top honors through the magazine’s reader voting process.
The NeoMesh USB-Gateway is part of Endrich’s broader e-IoT ecosystem. It effectively turns PCs, industrial controllers, and single-board computers with native USB interfaces into NeoMesh-to-cloud gateways for IoT deployments.
This enables seamless connectivity between energy-efficient wireless sensor networks and cloud platforms, supporting use cases such as smart cities, industrial and environmental monitoring, and predictive maintenance.
At its core, the gateway leverages NeoCortec’s NeoMesh wireless mesh networking protocol along with its dedicated software stack.
NeoMesh is specifically designed for intelligent sensor networks where devices transmit small amounts of data at irregular intervals but require high reliability.
The protocol is optimized for ultra-low power consumption, making it ideal for large-scale networks where nodes can operate on small batteries for several years.
Unlike many conventional mesh technologies, NeoMesh is both highly scalable and flexible. It can support networks with thousands of nodes while maintaining minimal constraints on size and depth.
Additionally, its self-healing capability ensures continuous operation if a node fails, the network automatically reroutes data to maintain connectivity without disruption.
Leadership Comment
Thomas Steen Halkier, CEO of NeoCortec, comments: “We warmly congratulate our distribution partner Endrich and are equally delighted about this award, as the NeoMesh USB Gateway utilizes our NeoMesh wireless mesh networking protocol.” Halkier adds: “We work closely with Endrich to equip many of the products in their e-IoT ecosystem with our low-power, highly scalable wireless mesh networking protocol and the associated software stack.”
