ROHM introduces four new miniature DC-DC step-down converter integrated circuits (ICs) that are perfect for industrial and consumer applications, including PLCs, inverters, refrigerators, and washing machines.

Christened BD9E203FP4-Z, is a new 2A buck converter with a 350kHz switching frequency that is part of ROHM’s product selection.

Growing Demand for DC-DC Converter ICs

Compact DC-DC converter integrated circuits (ICs) are becoming more and more popular as a result of the need to reduce board space brought on by growing application functionality in consumer electronics and industrial machinery. Moreover, there is an increasing demand for DC-DC converter integrated circuits (ICs) to provide increased efficiency under light load (low power) circumstances, since lowering standby power consumption is turning into a major difficulty.

  • During light load operation, the BD9E105FP4-Z, BD9E202FP4-Z, and BD9E304FP4-LBZ also make use of a COT control mode. Because of this, they operate more efficiently under light loads than conventional products, which makes them perfect for applications that need minimal standby power consumption.
