KYOCERA AVX has launched a new web-based RF engineering tool called Antenna Integrator Studio.

With wireless connectivity now built into products across almost every industry, RF engineering has become a core part of the design process.
Choosing the right antenna and placing it correctly on the PCB is critical, since poor decisions can lead to signal loss, impedance mismatch, reduced range and higher battery drain.
That makes this tool especially useful for industries where performance, space and environmental demands are strict, including consumer electronics, automotive, medical, IIoT, telecommunications and high-speed networking.
Antenna Integrator Studio is designed to help RF engineers:
- Simplify and speed up the antenna selection and placement process,
- Improving product performance and shortening time to market,
- Built to be intuitive as users enter their PCB size and antenna count,
Select the target frequency bands, choose whether they want to maximize efficiency or minimize cost, and then click “Analyze” to see the most suitable antenna options and placements for their board.
The tool also provides interactive performance charts, along with detailed analysis of efficiency, return loss, peak gain and radiation patterns across frequency bands.
Users can also download DXF and 3D files for easier integration into PCB design workflows, order samples and begin prototyping. A short four-minute video tutorial is included to guide users through the process.
The first version of KYOCERA AVX Antenna Integrator Studio includes thousands of simulations of board-mounted embedded antennas, with more features and antenna technologies planned for future updates.
Leadership Comment
“Our new Antenna Integrator Studio is a powerful online tool designed to help RF engineers make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions during the antenna selection and layout process and deliver higher-quality, higher-performance wireless products,” said Carmen Redondo, Director of Global Marketing – Antennas at KYOCERA AVX. “Competing solutions often require engineers to manually select and place antennas on their digital board layout to evaluate results. The Antenna Integrator Studio eliminates that guesswork — saving valuable time — and makes it quick and easy for engineers to optimize their designs for performance or cost effectiveness and evaluate simulated performance, which helps accelerate go-to-market timelines.”
