EODev, the French clean-power company focused on hydrogen generation and energy storage, has partnered with power solutions maker Baudouin to bring industrial-scale solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power generation to market.
The two companies say the collaboration will support a new distributed-power offering, which they plan to unveil in September. The move comes as data centres, industrial facilities and other critical infrastructure operators across Europe face rising power demand, grid constraints and long wait times for new connections.
SOFC technology is designed to fill that gap. It can run on natural gas, renewable gases or hydrogen, converting fuel directly into electricity through an electrochemical reaction. The result is high efficiency, lower CO? emissions and near-zero air pollutants compared with combustion-based generation, along with quiet, continuous operation whether connected to the grid or running independently.
For EODev, the partnership adds a continuous baseload option to its broader clean-power portfolio, which already includes hydrogen generators and battery storage. Each standard system delivers 600 kW, and multiple units can be combined to meet multi-megawatt demand.
For Baudouin, the agreement extends its power-generation expertise into fuel-cell technology through a partner with strong integration and service capabilities. Under the deal, EODev will integrate Baudouin’s SOFC solutions across Europe, with exclusive rights in France and Poland, while also exploring opportunities in international markets.
The solution is currently being validated through pilot installations ahead of a commercial launch in September 2026. First customer deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2027.
