Danisense has introduced a new high-precision current transducer, the DP12IP, aimed at enabling accurate isolated DC and AC current measurement in demanding PCB-mounted power electronics applications.

Built on the company’s closed-loop compensated fluxgate technology, the DP12IP series delivers ppm-level accuracy with a maximum linearity error of just 10 ppm, along with strong long-term stability.
Despite its performance capabilities, the device comes in a compact PCB-mount form factor, measuring just 32 mm and weighing 250 g, making it suitable for space-constrained designs such as 1U power supplies.
The transducer supports current measurements of up to 18 A and can handle measurement resistors up to 100 ? at full scale. It uses a fixed excitation frequency combined with second-harmonic zero-flux detection to maintain high stability and precision in current sensing.
Danisense is positioning the DP12IP for use across a range of high-performance applications, including magnet power supplies for particle accelerators, precision power supplies, servo drives for motion control, battery test systems and emulators, as well as power measurement and analysis equipment.
