Danisense has appointed Hjalti Pall Thorvardarson as Chief Operating Officer(COO), adding a seasoned operations leader to its management bench as the company scales its global presence in high-precision current sensing.

New COO for Danisense
Denmark-based Danisense, known for its high-performance fluxgate current transducers used in demanding test and measurement environments, has brought Thorvardarson on board to help steer its next phase of growth.
The appointment fits with Danisense’s strategy to expand its product range and deepen its role in markets such as power electronics, particle accelerators, medical imaging and battery testing, where accuracy and long-term stability are non-negotiable.
In its announcement, the company underscored Thorvardarson’s leadership track record and positioned his background as a strong match for Danisense’s ambitions in new regions and application areas.
Already based in Denmark in the new role, he is working alongside the existing executive team to tighten operations and enhance customer delivery.
Engineering and leadership background
Trained as a Computer and Electronics Engineer, Thorvardarson has spent his career inside a Danish high-tech SME focused on functional testing and simulation solutions for the space and defence sectors.
Over roughly sixteen years at Rovsing A/S, he moved from student employee to hardware engineer, project manager and department head, eventually serving as CEO for eight years.
That progression has given him hands-on experience across engineering, product development, manufacturing and operations in highly regulated, precision-critical markets.
Under his leadership, Rovsing worked on complex test solutions and strategic partnerships for space programmes, building familiarity with long project cycles, stringent customer requirements and mission-critical performance.
Leadership Comments
“We are delighted to welcome Hjalti Pall Thorvardarson to Danisense,” says Henrik Elbæk Pedersen, CEO at Danisense. “His combination of engineering expertise, operational leadership and experience in scaling high-technology organizations makes him ideally
placed to strengthen our operations and support the company’s continued growth.”
Commenting on his appointment, Thorvardarson said: “My priority is to bring fresh perspectives and create value across the organization. As Danisense continues to grow, strengthening collaboration between R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, Quality and Production will be key to scaling efficiently while maintaining the exceptional quality and performance our customers expect. I look forward to helping the company expand its capabilities and reinforce its position as a leading supplier of high-precision current sensing solutions.”
The company has been strengthening its organisation over the past few years, including moves to expand R&D and establish a sales office in Shanghai to serve a growing Asian customer base.Â
