Intel Corporation has named Aparna Bawa as its new EVP, chief legal & people officer. Reporting directly to CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Bawa will lead Intel’s global legal, ethics, compliance, and people teams as the company continues to drive its transformation and execution plans forward.

Bawa joins Intel from Zoom, where she most recently served as chief operating officer. During her time there, she oversaw key operational, legal, and people functions, helping the company scale rapidly on a global level.
She’s widely respected for her ability to bring together culture, governance, and execution in fast-moving tech environments.
Before joining Zoom, Bawa held senior legal and leadership roles across the technology sector, building deep experience in corporate governance, global compliance, employment, M&A, and organizational transformation.
At Intel, she’ll focus on strengthening the company’s legal and compliance foundation, fostering a high-performance culture, and aligning the people strategy with Intel’s long-term business goals. Her role will also include shaping leadership, talent, and governance as Intel moves into its next stage of growth.
Aparna Bawa’s appointment highlights Intel’s commitment to strong leadership, accountability, and execution as it continues to build momentum under Tan’s leadership. She will step into her new role in May.
