AMD is expanding its dominance in AI PCs by including AMD Ryzen AI into some models. With up to 16 dedicated NPU TOPS (Trillions of Operations Per Second) and up to 39 overall system TOPS. Exceptionally efficient professional laptops, mobile workstations and Business AI PCs are powered by AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series mobile processors.

AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series mobile processors deliver extremely efficient and uncompromising processing performance for the most demanding business and AI applications. Particularly useful as enterprise customers wanting to implement AI throughout their PC fleets.

With up to eight powerful cores, cutting-edge 4nm technology, and “Zen 4” architecture, these processors can handle the most demanding mobile workstation workloads with up to 30% more performance overall. 

In comparison to the Intel Core Ultra 7 165U, this most recent series offers up to 72% quicker performance and 84% less power for video conferencing with or without AI experiences enabled. AMD Ryzen AI is available on select models, and the CPU incorporates strong AMD RDNATM 3 graphics.

Furthermore, PCs running the Ryzen PRO 8040 Series processor will be among the first to use WiFi-7, providing cutting-edge connectivity and creating a new benchmark for the industry.

The AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 8945HS, which has eight cores, sixteen threads, 24MB of cache, and RadeonTM 780M graphics, is at the top of the stack.

HP unveiled a range of commercial PCs, workstations, and laptops, including ones with AMD PRO series processors, during this year’s HP Amplify Partner Conference.

These systems include the AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 or AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series -powered HP ZBook Power G11, HP EliteBook 805 Series G11 Notebook PCs, HP EliteBook 605 Series G11 Notebook PCs, HP ProBook 405 Series G11 Notebook PCs, and HP Elite Small Form Factor 805 G9 Desktop PC. AI is being improved both now and in the future by HP and AMD. The partnership seeks to deliver AI readiness and AI creation by combining AMD’s cutting-edge technology with HP’s experience in high-end workstation computing solutions.

Earlier this year, Lenovo announced the ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 with AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 Series processors, and today the company expanded its desktop portfolio to include the ThinkCentre M75s Gen 5, the ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5 and the ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5, all equipped with AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series processors.
