Tessolve Lands $75M Funding from Vector Line to Fuel AI Chip Design

THE VOLT VOTES

Tessolve has just landed a $75 million investment from Vector Line Capital, marking the U.S.-based strategic investor’s first-ever foray into the Indian market.

Backed by Hero Electronix, Tessolve isn’t sitting on the cash. The company has explicitly stated that the funding will fuel its global expansion, and it is already in advanced talks to close multiple strategic acquisitions over the next few quarters.

The $75 million injection arrives as Tessolve cements its position as a heavyweight in AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and mixed-signal chip design. Evolving far beyond its origins, the company now handles end-to-end chip development, from initial architecture and validation to embedded systems for leading hyperscalers and 18 of the world’s top 20 semiconductor companies.

Vector Line Capital brings more than just a checkbook. The firm invests exclusively in the semiconductor supply chain and was founded by Geoffrey Baldwin, a veteran tech investment banker with over 30 years of M&A experience at heavy-hitters like Morgan Stanley, GCA Advisors, and Houlihan Lokey. That deep industry Rolodex will be critical as Tessolve goes shopping for complementary companies.

To keep pace with shortening development cycles, Tessolve relies on its own pre-engineered semiconductor platforms and tight partnerships with major foundries, EDA providers, and test equipment makers.

Beyond its global footprint, Tessolve is also playing a foundational role in India’s domestic chip ambitions.

As new foundries, OSATs, and semiconductor startups begin to break ground across the country, Tessolve is positioning itself as the engineering muscle supporting the nation’s rapidly evolving semiconductor supply chain.

Leadership Comments

Vector Line Capital funded Tessolve Raises $75 million The Volt Post“Two decades ago, we started with silicon test engineering. Today, we are designing and productizing complete chips for the companies building AI infrastructure,” said Srini Chinamilli, Co-founder and CEO of Tessolve.

He noted that this evolution required building out platforms and talent long before the current AI boom hit. “This investment will support acquisitions that further strengthen our offerings, and Vector Line’s focus on the sector and their relationships will add significant value.”

Geoffrey Baldwin, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Vector Line Capital, said: “Semiconductors are becoming extremely complex, making them harder to design, validate and test. Leading technology companies are increasingly turning to engineering partners who can carry work across the whole development cycle. Tessolve is among the few companies that can do this at scale across the semiconductor value chain, globally. Tessolve’s success is evidenced by its blue chip customer base, having most of the world’s largest semiconductor companies as customers.”

Ujjwal Munjal, Chairman, Tessolve and Founder, Hero Electronix, said: “Tessolve has shown that an engineering business built from India can compete and lead globally. With the capabilities it has built to design cutting-edge semiconductors, it is well positioned to be a key enabler in the AI ecosystem. We welcome Vector Line on behalf of Hero Electronix and our partners TPG and Novo Tellus and look forward to working with them.”
