Powell Electronics is now stocking Bernier’s CMA series of stainless-steel circular connectors, delivering a highly ruggedized connectivity solution for defense, aerospace, and heavy industrial infrastructure.

Built for unforgiving environments, the components are engineered to secure signal and data streams across tactical equipment, encrypted networks, radio systems, and ruggedized displays.
At the mechanical level, the CMA series utilizes a tough stainless-steel shell equipped with a push-pull locking mechanism for rapid, secure connections. For applications requiring instant disconnection in the field, Bernier also offers break-away configurations.
To protect against electromagnetic interference which is a critical requirement in dense industrial and defense setups, the connectors integrate a 360-degree grounding ring. This enhances shell-to-ground continuity, delivering a high level of EMC protection to keep data transfers reliable in noisy environments.
The components are designed to survive heavy exposure to the elements, carrying a strict IP68 rating for dust and water resistance whether they are mated or unmated. Available with anywhere from four to 22 contacts, the connectors operate safely in extreme temperature swings from -55°C up to +125°C.
For engineering teams dealing with edge-case deployments, Bernier can further customize the CMA line with specific reinforcements to handle unique climatic, ergonomic, or electromagnetic challenges.
