VIAVI Brings 6G, AI Data Centers, and Space-Based Connectivity to India Mobile Congress

THE VOLT VOTES

VIAVI at India Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi from October 7-10 is bringing its latest AI-driven network testing, automation, and security platforms. Aligning with the event’s “Scale Without Boundaries” theme, the company will showcase how its technologies are securing and accelerating the leap from 5G to AI-native 6G networks at Booth A17, Hall 1.

India is rapidly evolving into a global testbed for next-generation telecommunications. Fueled by aggressive national investments in AI, quantum technologies, and semiconductor manufacturing, the country is pushing heavily into indigenous 6G, hyperscale data centers, and satellite communications.

VIAVI’s newly reshuffled portfolio is designed to act as the foundational testing and validation layer for this high-growth digital transformation.

Pushing the Limits of AI-RAN and 6G

To support the complex development of next-generation air interfaces, VIAVI is rolling out its RAN Simulation Digital Twin. By leveraging the TeraVM AI RAN Scenario Generator and TM500 with ray tracing, the digital twin models AI-RAN at both the site and city scale.

This allows telecom operators to conduct vendor-independent, black-box testing of AI-native L1 and L2 models, ensuring data quality and training suitability before real-world deployment.

For 6G innovation, VIAVI is highlighting its Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) capabilities, featuring agentic-AI-powered ray tracing and drone-enabled mapping for automated simulation and rapid heatmap generation.

Meanwhile, the Vertex Channel Emulator mimics complex real-world RF propagation in a controlled lab setting. This reduces the industry’s reliance on expensive field trials by enabling repeatable validation of 5G-Advanced, Wi-Fi 7/8, and massive MIMO antenna arrays.

AI Data Centers and the Fiber Backbone

As AI workloads demand unprecedented bandwidth, the physical layer of the network is under immense pressure. VIAVI is addressing this with end-to-end validation for AI data centers, combining ONE LabPro, TestCenter, and CyberFlood to test physical connectivity, application performance, and security for Ethernet speeds up to 1.6 Tb/s.

To scale the infrastructure at the photonic layer, the MAP-300 platform provides production-ready validation for optical sources and receivers.

Out in the field, VIAVI provides total visibility across optical transport networks using tools like the INX 762, ONMSi, and the OneAdvisor 800 for 800G testing. Additionally, the FTH DAS platform introduces high-precision distributed sensing combined with edge intelligence for real-time infrastructure monitoring.

Quantum-Safe Security and Space-Based Connectivity

Security architectures are being forced to evolve ahead of the quantum computing era. VIAVI’s QST1000 Quantum-Safe Test Solution offers AI-powered orchestration to validate hybrid Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), and Key Management Systems.

Integrating TeraVM Security and CyberFlood, the platform simulates realistic cyberattacks and application traffic with MITRE ATT&CK framework support.

Beyond terrestrial limits, VIAVI’s Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) solution merges the TM500 and TeraVM to emulate core networks, user equipment, and satellite traffic.

This accelerates the deployment of hybrid satellite-terrestrial networks crucial for 5G-Advanced and 6G. For critical infrastructure requiring absolute precision, SecurePNT and SecureTime deliver resilient positioning, navigation, and timing.

Smarter Operations and Field Assurance

Managing these increasingly complex, multivendor networks requires a shift in daily operations. VIAVI’s NITRO AIOps unifies network management, combining AI and analytics to automate troubleshooting and streamline Network Operations Center (NOC) tasks.

Building on this data, NITRO Location Intelligence transforms subscriber geolocation into actionable insights for targeted network optimization.

For continuous monitoring of private 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi networks, VIAVI XEdge deploys distributed sensors to catch RF and application issues before they impact end-users.

When technicians do need to deploy to a site, the OneAdvisor 800 Wireless offers portable RF analysis, featuring an augmented reality RF Viewer that visually overlays signal strength onto the physical environment, eliminating guesswork and reducing hazardous rooftop exposure.

Leadership Comment

VIAVI at India Mobile Congress AI-Native 6G Testing The Volt Post“AI, hyper-connectivity, and next-generation communications are ushering in a new era of network transformation. India is at the forefront of this evolution, driving innovation and advancing self-reliance across the digital ecosystem,” said Monojit Samaddar, Country Director, VIAVI. “As networks, AI, security, wireless, and sensing converge, they are redefining how critical infrastructure is designed, validated, and protected. VIAVI is helping organizations navigate this transformation with confidence.”
