The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at SCTIMST in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations, including Dr. Sanjay Behari, Director of SCTIMST, and Manoj Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi, along with key members from their healthcare, research, and technology teams.

The collaboration brings together SCTIMST’s expertise in cardiovascular sciences, neurosciences, biotechnology, and clinical research with Tata Elxsi’s capabilities in product engineering, design, and AI and digital technologies. The two organisations will jointly explore opportunities across diagnostics, medical imaging, digital health, biomedical engineering, and medical devices, targeting both domestic and global markets.

Designed to go beyond conventional partnerships, the initiative creates a unified innovation ecosystem that connects clinicians, researchers, advanced laboratories, and prototyping infrastructure with product engineering capabilities. This integrated approach is expected to help MedTech companies accelerate product development, validation, and commercialization.

The collaboration will also strengthen capabilities in critical areas such as biocompatibility and toxicology, while supporting broader technology development efforts.

Under the MoU, both organisations will pursue joint research, academic engagement, and intellectual property creation through project-based collaborations. Initial efforts will focus on identifying high-potential opportunities for co-development in emerging healthcare technologies.
