Rimac Automobili has teamed up with Croatian STEM startup CircuitMess to launch a 1:18 scale, build-it-yourself version of the Nevera designed to bring core automotive engineering concepts into a hands-on learning format.
The collaboration brings together two companies with a shared goal, making complex technology easier to understand.
Founded in 2017, CircuitMess has shipped over 300,000 DIY electronics and programming kits worldwide, catering to both beginners and advanced users. With the Nevera model, that approach moves into the automotive domain.
The CircuitMess Rimac Nevera kit walks users through assembling a miniature electric hypercar from the ground up. Builders install key components including electric motors, servo-based steering, wheels, LED lighting, and a Li-Po battery system, the same underlying technology used in the full-scale Nevera. The process mirrors real-world vehicle architecture, albeit in simplified form.
Beyond assembly, the model is fully programmable. Once built, it connects to a computer and can be coded using CircuitMess’s CircuitBlocks platform or C++ for more advanced users. This allows for custom driving logic, controller configurations, and LED light patterns. The kit also includes a separate Time Attack
controller with a Boost Mode feature, which itself requires assembly.
The partnership reflects a shared philosophy. Rimac has built its reputation on pushing the limits of electric vehicle engineering, while CircuitMess focuses on demystifying how technology works through hands-on learning.
Together, the companies are targeting a new generation of engineers by turning a high-performance EV into an interactive educational platform.
