The collaboration aims to combine Havells’ manufacturing strength, wide distribution network, and deep local market insight with Pixii’s globally deployed energy storage technology. Together, the companies plan to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions to support India’s growing clean energy needs.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of H.E. Ms. May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway to India, along with senior officials from the Norwegian Embassy and representatives from both companies.

Under the agreement, Havells and Pixii will follow a phased approach to build a long-term BESS ecosystem in India. Initial efforts will focus on pilot installations to assess market requirements and validate commercial potential.

This will be followed by the co-development of integrated, all-in-one energy storage solutions tailored for Indian users. The partnership also plans to localize manufacturing over time, aligning with the country’s push for domestic production.

Through this collaboration, Havells and Pixii aim to bring proven global technologies to India while fostering local innovation and contributing to a more resilient, future-ready energy ecosystem.

Indian BESS Market

India’s BESS market across residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) segments is projected to reach approximately INR 10,000-12,000 crore by FY30, with growth expected to exceed 100% CAGR over the next three years. The surge is being driven by rising renewable energy adoption and increasing demand for reliable power infrastructure.
