ROHM Launches High-Accuracy TLRx728 and BD728x Op Amps

THE VOLT VOTES

ROHM has expanded its op-amp portfolio with two new CMOS Op Amps series: the “TLRx728” and “BD728x”. Both families are designed for a broad range of applications, including automotive, industrial, and consumer systems, and the wide lineup makes it easier for designers to find the right fit for their circuit.

Demand for high-accuracy op amps has grown rapidly as automotive and industrial systems become more advanced, requiring faster response, higher precision, and better efficiency.

In applications that amplify sensor signals, minimizing error and signal delay is critical. That calls for a well-balanced combination of key specs, Input Offset Voltage, Noise, and Slew Rate.

ROHM’s new devices are high-performance op amps that deliver low input offset voltage, low noise, and high slew rate.

The TLRx728 offers an input offset voltage of 150 ?V (typical), while the BD728x provides 1.6 mV (typical). Both series feature a noise voltage density of 12 nV/?Hz at 1 kHz and a slew rate of 10 V/?s, making them suitable for precision tasks such as sensor signal conditioning, current-sense circuits, motor driver control, and power-supply monitoring.

Rather than targeting a narrow set of use cases, these op amps are designed to balance versatility and high performance across many applications. Their rail-to-rail input and output capability lets designers make full use of the available supply-voltage range, maximizing dynamic range on the circuit.

Beyond performance, the product families are available in 1-channel, 2-channel, and 4-channel configurations, with a variety of packages to match different board layouts and application constraints. This packaging flexibility simplifies component selection without forcing trade?offs on performance or space.

The new parts are being released together, with the exception of a few specific numbers. Pricing for samples is $2.0 for the 1-channel version, $2.8 for the 2-channel, and $4.0 for the 4-channel (excluding tax), positioning them as cost?effective options for high-accuracy signal-chain designs.

For sales information, please refer to the lineup table. They are also available for purchase online through online distributors such as DigiKey, Mouser and Farnell.
