fischer Expands Production in India and China

THE VOLT VOTES

fischer is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Asia with two major steps, a new production site in India and a major upgrade of its existing plant in China. Together, these investments put Asia at the heart of fischer’s long-term growth strategy, helping it strengthen local supply, cut delivery times, and grow its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing construction and infrastructure markets.

The new facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, will focus on fischer installation systems, a core part of the company’s portfolio used in building services, electrical and mechanical installations, and industrial projects. By producing these systems locally, fischer can react faster to regional demand, support quicker project timelines, and reduce reliance on long-haul logistics from Europe.

In Taicang, Jiangsu province, China, fischer has expanded its existing site with a new production line dedicated to heavy-duty fixings and structural retrofitting solutions.

These products are essential for high-load applications in bridges, industrial plants, and major infrastructure upgrades where reliability and long-term performance are critical. The new line started operating at the beginning of March 2026, with deliveries for the Chinese market scheduled to begin in May 2026, and broader Asian shipments planned from November 2026.

Company leaders see local production as a key competitive advantage in today’s complex geopolitical and supply-chain environment.

By manufacturing close to core markets, the company can adapt more easily to regional standards, get faster feedback from local customers, and maintain more predictable lead times even when global logistics are under pressure.

Asia’s importance is clear, the Chinese plant originally opened back in 1997, giving fischer decades of deep-rooted experience in the region.

Beyond India and China, the company is also growing its footprint in Saudi Arabia, where a new subsidiary and a large production site in Dammam are set to open in 2026.

Taken together, these moves cement fischer’s position as a leading global fastening-systems provider with a highly integrated, multi-regional manufacturing network. For contractors, developers, and industrial clients across Asia, the expansion means quicker access to high-performance anchoring and fastening systems and a more resilient supply chain for critical infrastructure projects.
