BEL and RRP Group has inked a strategic MoU to ramp up collaboration in cutting-edge semiconductors, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and electro-optical systems.

Powering India’s Self-Reliance in High-Tech Defence
The Bengaluru signing unites BEL’s deep-rooted expertise in radars, comms, and electronic warfare with RRP’s strengths in chip packaging, thermal imaging, and drone technology.
Together, they’re targeting joint R&D in surveillance gear, weapon sights, advanced semis, and next-gen drones for defence needs.
This tie-up between BEL and RRP Group is said to spur the wave of India’s aggressive indigenisation drive, aiming to mitigate imports while opening doors to global exports amid the Ministry of Defence’s outbound push.
Unlocking Scale, Exports, and Innovation
No financials were shared, but the partnership between BEL and RRP Group is known to accelearate the synergies towards innovation. BEL’s vast portfolio meets RRP’s rising profile in autonomous systems and semis.
Expect potential joint ventures in manufacturing and tech development, cementing India’s spot as a defence electronics exporter.
This comes as India eyes leadership in High-Tech Defence, Semis and UAVs, with firms like BEL already partnering space startups for indigenous leaps.
