Hensoldt has inked a long-term agreement with United Monolithic Semiconductors (UMS) to supply 900,000 gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor components by 2030, bolstering production for its advanced radar systems.

The GaN components will power high-frequency amplification in transmit and receive modules, particularly for Hensoldt’s Spexer radar family used in air defense and security operations.
The two companies are collaborating closely on development and testing to ensure seamless integration and performance.
This deal addresses surging demand for sensor systems, helping Hensoldt ramp up output while securing critical parts for serial production through the decade.
