Expanding automotive leadership with Ethernet technology

Infineon became the global microcontroller leader in 2024, just a year after taking the number?one position in automotive microcontrollers. Its leadership will strengthen even further following its acquisition of Marvell’s Automotive Ethernet business in August 2025.

The deal adds the BRIGHTLANE™ automotive Ethernet portfolio to Infineon’s lineup, enhancing its ability to deliver complete solutions for software?defined vehicles (SDVs).

With the combined strengths of BRIGHTLANE™, AURIX™, PSOC™, and TRAVEO™ microcontrollers, Infineon can now offer more powerful system architectures that support features such as autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance, and secure over?the?air updates.

Powering physical AI and next?generation robotics

The acquisition also opens doors to new markets in IoT and physical AI, including humanoid robotics. Infineon’s AURIX, PSOC, and MOTIX™ microcontrollers already play a key role in robots that can safely sense, think, and act in real time.

These chips enable complex computing, intelligent motion control, and seamless connectivity essential for advanced robotics in industrial, service, and home applications.

Through its scalable and energy?efficient PSOC portfolio, Infineon continues to expand across industrial and consumer markets, powering smart home systems, industrial automation, and connected IoT devices.

Building security for the connected future

Cybersecurity remains at the core of Infineon’s microcontroller strategy. From connected cars and industrial systems to AI?driven devices, its products are designed with built?in, future?ready protection for data, identities, and systems.

The latest generations of AURIX and TRAVEO MCUs already comply with global standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 for automotive security.

Infineon is also preparing its architectures to meet upcoming regulations like the EU Cyber Resilience Act and the demands of post?quantum cryptography advancements already implemented in its newest PSOC, AURIX, and TRAVEO product lines.

Showcasing innovation at embedded world 2026

Infineon will be showcasing its latest secure, connected, and intelligent microcontroller innovations at embedded world 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 10–12.

Visitors can explore the company’s full portfolio for industrial, consumer, and automotive applications at Hall 4A, Booth 138, and experience live demos and expert presentations throughout the event.
