Vinkesh Gulati Joins Bharat Association of Road Safety Volunteers as Founding Member and Vice Chairperson

Reinforcing the need for a unified, citizen?driven approach to road safety in India, Mr. Vinkesh Gulati has joined as a Founding Member of the Bharat Association of Road Safety Volunteers (BARS). He will serve as Vice Chairperson and President – Corporate Affairs, in addition to his current role as Chairperson of the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC).
Announcing his association with BARS, Mr. Gulati emphasized that road safety must move beyond policy conversations to become a national responsibility. “This is not just a policy issue — it’s a people’s mission,” he said, calling for collective action, accountability, and sustained collaboration to make India’s roads safer.
The Bharat Association of Road Safety Volunteers (BARS) has been envisioned as a collaborative platform bringing together volunteers, industry leaders, policymakers, civil society organizations, and communities working toward one goal, saving lives on India’s roads. By focusing on transparency, collaboration, and accountability, BARS aims to strengthen coordination across all stakeholders and create a structured framework for awareness, advocacy, and action.
With India still facing a high rate of road accidents and fatalities, initiatives like BARS are expected to play a transformative role in aligning multi?sectoral efforts and driving long?term behavioral change around road safety.
BARS is built on three core pillars — Transparency, Collaboration, and Accountability — which guide its vision of making Indian roads safer for every citizen.
Echoing this spirit of unity and purpose, Mr. Gulati concluded with a powerful message:
“Together we can. Together we will.”
