Mitsubishi Electric Snaps Up ADTTech Stake for Smart Factory Push in China

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Mitsubishi Electric Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (China) Group Co., Ltd. in Suzhou, China, acquired a stake of ADT Technology Service (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (ADTTech), a software developer located in Suzhou, with which the subsidiary has a collaboration agreement.

Mitsubishi Electric Buys ADTTech Stake for FA Solutions

Mitsubishi Electric plans to enhance its supply of factory automation (FA) total solutions by working with ADTTech, which develops software for production planning, manufacturing management, quality control, and equipment management.

This will help China’s growing manufacturing sector have smarter and more automated factories.

Using the production technologies it developed as the former manufacturing division of liquid crystal display (LCD) manufacturer AUO Corporation, ADTTech develops and markets manufacturing management software.

In order to provide complete solutions that support the utilization, analysis and operation of production site data, Mitsubishi Electric will integrate its FA equipment and monitoring/control software with ADTTech’s services.

Mitsubishi Electric anticipates that this investment would boost its capacity to provide FA Solutions in the Chinese market and hasten the expansion of its FA system business.
