Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, EODev, and Octopian have a same goal of accelerating scalable, zero-emission hydrogen power solutions in the Kingdom and helping it achieve its carbon neutrality goals for a cleaner and greener future, which is reflected in this promising partnership.

A MoU has been signed by Octopian Global Services (Octopian), a multinational technology provider based in the United Arab Emirates, and Energy Observer Developments (EODev), an established French industrial company that specializes in zero-emission power generation and energy storage solutions, to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-powered generator solutions in the Kingdom. Since 1955, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors has been Saudi Arabia’s authorized Toyota distributor.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030 and assisting the Kingdom in becoming a worldwide hub for hydrogen, the deal represents an important step in Abdul Latif Jameel Motors’ continuous efforts to allow cleaner, smarter, and more efficient mobility and energy solutions.
Abdul Latif Jameel Motors is now extending its position into stationary hydrogen applications after successful hydrogen mobility experiments and efforts.
As per the agreement, EODev, Octopian, and Abdul Latif Jameel Motors will work together to introduce, demonstrate, and eventually localize EODev’s hydrogen power solutions in Saudi Arabia.
Toyota’s fuel cell technology powers EODev’s solutions, such as the GEH2 stationary hydrogen generator, which provide dependable, emission-free electricity for a variety of uses.
Under the agreement, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, EODev, and Octopian will collaborate on the introduction, demonstration, and future localization of EODev’s hydrogen power technologies in Saudi Arabia.
EODev’s solutions, which include the GEH2 stationary hydrogen generator, operate using Toyota’s fuel cell technology to deliver zero-emission and reliable power for a wide range of applications.
The MoU establishes the framework for long-term planning to create a complete value-chain ecosystem for hydrogen generators in the Kingdom as well as possible local assembly and production opportunities.
