Meet The New High-Precision R&S NGT3600 DC Power Supply Series

The recently introduced R&S NGT3600 DC power supply series is a multi-purpose solution for applications spanning all stages of R&D, quality assurance, and production, offering precise DC power up to 3.6kW. In particular, the special dual-channel R&S NGT3622 model is ideal for a range of test and measurement tasks, such as power system testing, DC-DC converter evaluation, and voltage profile simulation in compliance with test standards.

R&S NGT3600 DC Power Supply Series Debuts

The R&S NGT3600 series, a new line of DC power supplies with up to 1800 W per channel, is on display at Productronica 2025 by Rohde & Schwarz. With adjustable output voltages of up to 80 V, these power sources are extremely versatile.

Users can double the voltage or current by connecting the two channels of the R&S NGT3600 DC power supply series model in parallel or series. Up to three units can be combined to provide up to 480 V or 300 A across six channels for applications that need even more power.

R&S NGT3600 DC Power Supply Series DebutsExceptionally clean and stable power

With extremely low voltage and current ripple and noise, the R&S NGT3600 series provides incredibly clean and reliable power. The devices provide accurate measurements required for a variety of applications, with a resolution of 100 µA for current and 1mV for voltage.

Dual-channel power that can be adjusted for different test and measurement tasks.  The R&S NGT3600 DC power supply series is an innovative two-channel model that combines up to two totally independent 1800 W outputs in a single compact instrument, setting a new standard for high-performance DC power supply.

For labs and test systems that require flexibility, space efficiency, and unwavering precision, this is a major achievement. Power electronics, mobile and satellite communications, renewable energy, automotive, aerospace, and military are just a few of the industries where it is perfect for measurement and testing jobs.

Precise current and voltage testing under load, efficiency measurements, and thermal characterization of components including DC/DC converters, power supplies, motors, and semiconductors are all made achievable with the R&S NGT3622.

An R&S NGT3600 can be used by engineers to validate MPPT algorithms for solar inverters, test high-current prototypes like base stations, or examine charging stations.

It is perfect for emulating on-board networks and powering communication systems, sensors, and control units during testing since it facilitates the shift to 48 V on-board networks in the automotive industry.

These abilities are equally useful in the defense and aerospace industries. To put it briefly,R&S NGT3600 DC Power Supply Series Debuts the R&S NGT3600 is a complete solution for the development and testing of modern battery-powered devices and DC power supply systems.

All models in the R&S NGT3600 DC power supply series are directly rack-mountable – no adapter is required. They are part of the R&S ESSENTIALS portfolio and will be available as of January 13, 2026, from Rohde & Schwarz and selected distribution partners.

Visitors to productronica 2025 in Munich can already experience the instruments at the Rohde & Schwarz booth A1.375.
