Ansys, MBF to Empower Tier-2 Engineering Colleges With Simulation Innovation

The U.S.-based non-profit Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF) and Ansys, which is now a part of Synopsys, have partnered to improve STEM education in India. Through the partnership, engineering students in Tinkerers’ Labs—makerspaces supported by MBF—will have access to state-of-the-art simulation tools from Synopsys’ Simulation and Analysis portfolio, allowing them to learn, create, and innovate on par with their counterparts at prestigious universities.

The resources required for career success are made available to the numerous engineering students enrolled in tier-2 universities thanks to this project.

Academic teaching licenses for Ansys’ multiphysics simulation systems and access to the Ansys Learning Hub will be granted to staff and students at up to six chosen universities through the Synopsys-MBF Simulation Education Program.

This one-year partnership is the start of larger vision. In order to increase the influence on India’s innovation ecosystem, MBF and Synopsys intend to expand the relationship to more institutions and multi-year engagements if it proves successful.
