Dr. Chiranjeevi Phanindra, a former ISRO scientist and the Deputy Project Director of India’s Gaganyaan mission, founded Cosmoserve Space, a next-generation innovative space technology startup.
The company has raised $3.17 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, logging one of the largest ever raises at the ideation stage for a space tech company.
In order to tackle the pressing worldwide issue of space debris, which endangers satellites, space stations, and future exploration, the company is creating autonomous robotic spacecraft.
Alan Rutledge, whose portfolio include over 20 unicorns, led the round. AUM Ventures and Shakti VC also made significant contributions. Ram Shriram, a well-known early investor in Google and a 25-year-old member of its board, has joined as a prominent investor in Cosmoserve, demonstrating tremendous faith in the company’s goal and a significant validation of the company’s vision.
Additionally, Cosmoserve Space has the backing of Pawan Kumar Chandana, a pioneer in India’s private space industry and co-founder of Skyroot Aerospace, whose knowledge enhances the company’s strategic orientation.
With intentions to revolutionize the way the industry handles orbital debris, Cosmoserve Space is positioned as an emergent leader in the quickly changing space sustainability sector with this milestone. The business is now prepared to take important actions to guarantee that space will continue to be a sustainable and safe frontier for future generations.
