The nation’s top innovator in Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions, Esri India, successfully held its flagship event, the Esri India User Conference (UC) 2025, in Delhi, where talks about the advancements made possible by AI and GIS took center stage.
The revolutionary significance of GIS in bringing data, domains, and geographies together was underscored by this year’s theme, “GIS – Integrating Everything, Everywhere.” The Esri India User Conference also highlighted how GIS is increasingly integrating with other cutting-edge technologies, such digital twins and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Organizations from all throughout India demonstrated at the conference how GIS is fostering resilience and innovation. Critical industries like urban planning, disaster response, utilities, agriculture, infrastructure, land administration, water resource management, and natural resource management are being strengthened by GIS applications, which range from predictive modeling and real-time monitoring to automated decision-making.
Intriguing sessions at the Esri India User Conference examined how the ArcGIS AI framework’s GeoAI, AI assistants, and AI agents are changing how decisions are made in a variety of sectors, including business, infrastructure, energy, and all tiers of government.
Through captivating demonstrations, technological tracks, paper presentations, and an interactive expo, these insights were made tangible, establishing a vibrant platform for cooperation and information sharing.
Esri India has invested more than INR 150 crore in its new GIS and AI Competency Center, which aims to spur innovation in AI-powered geospatial analytics.
The Center wants to give businesses the cutting-edge resources and know-how they need to tackle difficult problems and fully utilize spatial intelligence. This goal was supported by the innovations on display at the Esri India UC.
The Esri India UC, the nation’s largest GIS-focused conference, was successful in motivating companies to rethink their processes and welcome the next wave of spatial intelligence. The conference is also scheduled for September 9 in Kolkata, September 10 in Hyderabad, and September 12 in Mumbai.
