At its Gurgaon location, Honeywell recently hosted the LeadHERs in Commercial event, which brought together more than 100 women professionals from a variety of organizations working in supply chain, finance, marketing, sales, and sales support.

With an emphasis on the automation, oil and gas, and energy sectors, the one-day event, which had as its theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Business,” brought together business executives, entrepreneurs, and activists to honor women-led innovations in the commercial sector.
Women professionals used the event as a forum to network and share ideas about promoting inclusivity, accelerating change, and breaking down barriers in commercial roles.
The panel discussion on “Breaking Barriers – Women Leading Commercial Excellence” was one of the event’s highlights. Industry leaders Ajay Khera, former Commercial Head-India, Technip Energies; Shally Verma, Business Development Leader, Rockwell India; Nandini Singh, Partner & Executive Director, IBM; and Pavitra Venkatraman, Partner Development, GSI, Microsoft, convened to exchange perspectives, facilitated by Deepti Vij, Director, Talent Acquisition, Honeywell.
The panelists talked about leadership and resilience, and they clarified how women can drive innovation in change-resistant businesses and establish credibility in roles that are traditionally held by males.
Ritu Jerath, a seasoned worldwide leader in customer experience and digital transformation and an enthusiastic advocate of women’s leadership, and award-winning journalist Shaili Chopra, founder of SheThePeople and Gytree, both gave motivational speeches at the event.

With their tales of questioning the current quo and rewriting the possibilities for women in corporate jobs, the two speakers motivated the audience.
