With the launch of the new Infineon ID Key family, Infineon Technologies is broadening its selection of hardware authenticators, dongles, security keys, and universal serial bus (USB) tokens. A highly secure and adaptable product, the ID Key S USB is the newest member and is made for a variety of USB and USB/NFC token devices and applications.
It combines a USB bridge controller with the security, functionality, and reliability of the Infineon SLC38 security controller in a single device.
It is a special system-in-package solution that lowers the bill of materials and associated expenses while enabling great flexibility and streamlining complex application installations.
The ID Key S USB Offers:
- A range of key features that support its secured and versatile design and boasts a comprehensive array of features.
- Its high-performance capabilities are driven by a 32-bit CPU clocked at 100 MHz and a large 24 kB RAM.
- Enabling ultra-fast and secured execution of applications and delivering excellent operating system performance for a wide range of use cases.
- Offers sufficient memory, with non-volatile memory sizes of up to 800 kB providing ample storage for large amounts of data, cryptographic keys, software, and multiple applications.
It is certified to the highest security levels and supports a variety of use cases, such as digital signatures, encryption, access control, software protection, cryptocurrency hardware wallets, certificate-based authentication, and Fast Identity Online (FIDO) authentication using device-bound passkeys.
Secure and hardware-backed authentication solutions are in high demand due to the growing threat of cyberattacks and the necessity for safe and secure online transactions.
With certification to CC EAL 6+ (high) and compliance with FIPS 140-3 hardware standards, the ID Key S USB has also attained the highest security levels, enabling customers to apply for FIPS 140-3 certification for their product.
With its small size of 4 x 4 x 0.85 mm, the ID Key S USB is perfect for incorporation into token devices that require a lot of space.
