About:Energy announced several significant growth milestones, solidifying its standing as the preferred technical partner for companies looking to use simulation to make the right decisions the first time, cut development costs, and speed time to market.

More than 30 high-performance cells in a variety of formats and chemistries from market giants like LG, Samsung, and Molicel, as well as next-generation innovators like Amprius and Inobat are currently available in the Voltt, About: Energy’s flagship database of commercial battery models.

Customers may now assess cell selection, thermal strategies, and fast-charging methods at an early stage of the design process to this enhanced library, which facilitates quicker and more assured technical and business decisions.

Concerning: At its 3,000-square-foot laboratory in London, Energy has tested more than 500 commercial cells so far, including 12-month degradation programs that support simulation models that are among the best in the industry.

Crucially, it ensures total accuracy and reliability by gathering all of its own high-precision data instead of depending on third-party sources or manufacturer standards. By using these models, engineering teams may speed up design timeframes without sacrificing accuracy and prevent expensive guesswork by making the right decisions the first time.

In order to increase product development and customer success, the team has also expanded by more than 50%, bringing in top talent from rapidly expanding technology and battery firms.

Miles Robertson (Staff Applications Engineer, formerly of McLAren and Lilium), Emily Anshaw (Head of People Operations, ex-Transition Zero), Jack Evans (Lead Test Engineer, ex-Northvolt), and Lorenzo Bergamaschi (Founder’s Associate, former CTO at Allye) are among the recent recruits.

About: Energy keeps strengthening its partnerships with US and EU cell producers, assisting them in providing better data products. These are especially helpful in situations where local sourcing and supply chain security are top concerns.

With increasing traction in the space, defense, aviation, drone, automobile, and motorsport industries, the company’s clientele keeps expanding. Before spending money on hardware development, the majority of clients use its models and data to make early design judgments like rapid charging, thermal management, and cell selection.

Leadership Comments

Gavin White, Co-Founder and CEO of About:Energy said:

“We’re seeing momentum as companies recognise the value of simulation-based battery development. Our platform helps engineers answer critical questions before investing in hardware—whether testing motorsports drive cycles, thermal models for eVTOL missions, or predicting cycle life for drones. The Voltt eliminates the barrier of needing extensive engineering teams and lab facilities to predict battery behaviours.”

Kieran O’Regan, CGO and Co-Founder of About:Energy said:

“The London test facility has been critical to unlocking our growth. It gives us complete control over how we test and validate cells, enabling us to meet customer timelines far more reliably. For companies pursuing aircraft certification or working to urgent defence timelines, access to high-quality data quickly is often the key blocker. We’ve removed that blocker.AboutEnergy's Voltt Enabling Simulation-Based Battery Development the volt post 1

“We’re also leveraging state-of-the-art academic research and engineering innovation built entirely in-house to unlock efficiency gains across the testing and modelling process. This allows us to pass time and cost savings directly onto our customers. Every year, we are driving down the barriers to adopting simulation in battery development, making it more accessible and impactful across the industry, added Kieran.
