The PVT360A performance vector tester from Rohde & Schwarz characterizing the Pegatron 5G PR1450 O-RU is the basis for the demonstration at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona.
It demonstrates the PVT360A’s flexible adaptability to a variety of setups – all in a small form factor. The performance vector tester is now available with a new high-power option, which is also showcased at MWC 2025. Rohde & Schwarz and Pegatron 5G present a test setup optimized for O-RU production testing.
The PVT 360A performance vector tester is showcased as part of an O-RU test setup at MWC 2025 together with Pegatron 5G. The PVT360A is a VSG/VSA single-box tester intended primarily for evaluating RF components, FR1 macro cells and small cell base stations.
Its new high-power option boosts the output power to a maximum of 20 dBm RMS. This is perfect for applications that involve large losses or that require a high input power to the device under test (DUT). Additionally, by choosing this option, the PVT360A’s frequency range is increased to more than 8 GHz, making it appropriate for the suggested FR3 frequency bands meant for first deployments.
The PVT360A can be integrated with the user’s own O-RU and a light version of a real O-DU for testing in production lines. The given O-RU test setup highlights the flexibility of the PVT360A and how it may be integrated into multiple setups for O-RU testing.
The Pegatron 5G PR1450 and PG5000 Series are the additional parts of the O-RU test setup. The PG5000 is a lighter version of an actual O-DU, and the PR1450 is an indoor 4T4R 5G NR FR1 O-RU. The PR1450 O-RU is 3GPP R16 compliant, enabling 2CA and URLLC mini-slot. It is a versatile deployment option with IP50 ingress protection and an operating temperature of up to 50 degrees Celsius.
Rohde & Schwarz demonstrates O-RU testing together with Pegatron 5G at MWC 2025 at the Rohde & Schwarz booth in Hall 5, Stand 5A80.
