Altium announced that it has successfully acquired Milwaukee-based Part Analytics, which offers the leading AI-powered supply chain management platform in the electronics industry. This platform helps manufacturers make well-informed decisions for large-scale component planning and procurement, especially at the enterprise level, in a timely manner.
Through this acquisition, we will be able to integrate a component and parts management application into Altium’s incredibly effective cloud-based collaboration platform, Altium 365.
This will further bring industry stakeholders together by enabling us to support new customer groups in procurement and supply chain, such as Electronics Supply Chain and Category Managers.
A key component of complete Electronics Lifecycle Management, the acquisition also creates strategic synergy with Altium corporate Solutions, which provides corporate businesses with extensive supply chain and procurement capabilities along with a comprehensive components catalog across whole programs.
Incorporating capabilities into Altium’s electronics creation ecosystem will strongly support Altium’s Enterprise-level solution by adding an advanced fulfillment function to our current sourcing capabilities.
Part Analytics was founded by former GE HealthCare supply-chain leaders who bring with them deep domain expertise in enterprise-level customers and their procurement requirements. Their robust procurement application was built specifically for electronics to make supply chains more cost efficient, resilient, and agile, enabling more effective supply chain management.
With the purchase of Part Analytics, Altium advances its open electronics system design and lifecycle management platform even further.
