Infineon Technologies TRAVEO T2G Automotive Microcontroller series for Body and Cluster has a Hardware Security Module (HSM) that can perform secured boot and provide secure separation of HSM data and applications.
Infineon intends to retrospectively implement product compliance with the most recent automotive cybersecurity standard ISO/SAE 21434 for the TRAVEO T2G automotive microcontroller family in order to further improve this. Customers will receive all required documentation, such as the Cybersecurity Case Report and Cybersecurity Manual.
The demand for cybersecurity is expanding as a result of road vehicles becoming more connected. As a result, the R155 and R156 regulations, which outline the cybersecurity obligations for OEMs, were enacted by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
To reduce the risk of attack throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle, OEMs who wish to sell new vehicles in UNECE-regulated markets must have a current type approval certificate and use cybersecurity procedures across the supply chain.
Based on the Arm Cortex-M4 (single core)/M7 (single core, dual core, or quad core) core, the TRAVEO T2G microcontrollers offer high performance, improved human-machine interfaces, high security, and sophisticated networking protocols designed for a variety of automotive applications.
They provide cutting-edge security, safety, and real-time performance characteristics. Among other things, this is demonstrated by the introduction of the Hardware Security Module (HSM), a Cortex-M0+ specifically designed for secure computing, and dual-bank mode embedded memory for FOTA requirements.
Developers can keep using the TRAVEO T2G MCUs to create their ISO/SAE 21434 compliant ECUs with the anticipated new product compliance. They will thus profit from reduced product development expenses and quicker time-to-market for both new and current platforms.
