FAULHABER announces motion controller with even more options: The new MC 3602 B and MC 3606 B motion controllers make it even easier to choose and commission drive systems.
According to CiA 402, DC motors, brushless DC motors, and linear motors can all be driven by the little MC 3602/06 B using standard position encoders as servo drives. The ability to use stepper motors without an encoder in open-loop operation or with one as a servo is also new. The devices “speak” USB, RS232, CANopen, and EtherCAT.
Engineers’ jobs are made easier by the new MC 3602 B variant’s up to 2 A continuous output current for smaller motors and the MC 3606 B variant’s up to 6 A continuous output current for medium-sized motors.
Only one motor controller and a graphical user interface (GUI) are required for applications that use multiple motor technologies. You can install and commission the free FAULHABER “Motion Manager 7” program.
In a few simple steps, the drive will be operational. The CiA 402 servo drive is available in all of its primary operating modes. CANopen or RS232 are employed for integration, while the USB interface is generally utilized for commissioning. Moreover, cycle periods as short as one are made possible with an optional EtherCAT module.
Everything From a Single Source
The MC 3602 B and MC 3606 B provide a complex driving system with a wide range of protection features when used with FAULHABER motors.
The goods provide excellent dynamics and were designed to operate motors with ironless windings. The MC 3602/06 B can also be used with standard motors, including NEMA stepper motors, with ease. As a result, they serve as a strong foundation for various applications.
The MC 3602/06 B offers a solution for almost every need, whether the application involves a stepper motor operating in an open-loop or closed-loop manner, or in conjunction with brushless, linear, or DC servomotors.
This includes robotics, semiconductor processing, industrial automation, laboratory automation, and measurement systems.
