In order to speed production from component inflow to manufacturing and final export, the plant, which serves as the main facility for assembling and checking power semiconductor modules, will combine previously scattered assembly and inspection production lines within the site.

To increase productivity, new systems will be put in place to automate product transportation and manufacturing process management. To improve product development, the corporation will also fortify its integrated system, which encompasses everything from design, development, and production technology verification to manufacturing.

In response to the projected rise in demand for power semiconductors, Mitsubishi Electric anticipates that the new factory would enable its quick and reliable product delivery to satisfy market demands.

With this in mind, the company hopes to support both the Green Transformation (GX) and the energy efficiency of power-electronics devices in a variety of applications. Mitsubishi Electric has been designated as a corporate entity of the Green Asia International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone for the second time by Fukuoka Prefecture in conjunction with the development of the new facility.Mitsubishi Electric invest 10bn Yen in Power Semiconductor The Volt Post
