Infineon, Stellantis Fix New-Age Power Architectures for Modern Mobility

In order to promote Stellantis’ goal of providing everyone with clean, safe, and affordable mobility, the company and Infineon Technologies announced that they will collaborate on the power architecture for Stellantis’ electric vehicles.

In order to facilitate this, the companies have inked significant supply and capacity agreements, which will form the basis of the anticipated partnership to create the next generation of power architecture.

These agreements include:

  • By replacing conventional fuses with Infineon’s PROFET smart power switches, Stellantis will be able to cut down on wiring and be among the first automakers to adopt intelligent power network management.
  • In addition to helping Stellantis standardize its power modules, silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors will save prices while enhancing EV performance and efficiency.
