As Delta strengthens its ties to the Indian market, the 61,000-square-meter green headquarters facility, which is ideally situated in the thriving Bommasandra Industrial Area, can accommodate up to 3,000 experts in management, research and development, and engineering.

To further strengthen its unique capabilities in creating intelligent, energy-saving high-voltage power management solutions for telecom, data centers, EV charging, and energy storage applications, as well as IoT and AI-related software, all customized for India’s transformation, Delta is also anticipated to hire up to 750 R&D engineers over the next three years.

Additionally congratulating Delta on this occasion was Shri D.K. Shivakumar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. He noted the company’s noteworthy contributions to the state’s expanding technical and industrial ecosystem, which further solidified its standing as a pioneer in sustainability and innovation. 

Key Highlights of the New Facility:

  • Focus on Innovative R&D Capabilities: In the next three years, the facility will house 750 R&D engineers, up from its existing staff of over 300. There are areas set aside for lower power R&D testing, vehicle design, and energy storage. The Global R&D Center has state-of-the-art laboratories for medium voltage power quality evaluation, high voltage product testing, and a state-of-the-art radio emission chamber.
  • Employee-Centric Design: Over the course of the next five years, it is anticipated that the new Delta India HQs facility, which occupies 61,000 square meters, would employ 3,000 people. next to places for the well-being of employees, such as recreation facilities, a canteen, and leisure activities.
  • Sustainability at its Core: With a 593kW solar power capacity, a smart surveillance system for increased security, and extensive green building initiatives like 356KL of rainwater harvesting, an underground water tank, and water-cooled chillers that follow sustainable building practices, the facility reflects Delta’s dedication to sustainability. The brand-new 480 square meter exhibition at the LEED Gold-certified Delta India Headquarters and Research and Development Center in Bengaluru provides an immersive experience showcasing the company’s state-of-the-art IoT-based smart green solutions.

With its 593kW solar PV system and 100kW PV inverters—which have a peak energy efficiency of 99.0%—the state-of-the-art plant can produce over 650,000 kWh of electricity annually, stated the company’s official release.Delta New Global R&D Center, LEED Green HQ in Bengaluru

The building’s HVAC system is automated and optimized for energy efficiency with the use of 82 variable frequency drives from the CP2000 series.

Furthermore, the building has a 300kW data center that runs with an annual power usage effectiveness (PUE) of only 1.4 because of the precise cooling systems and high-efficiency uninterrupted power supply (UPS) provided by Delta. Finally, the new building’s security is maximized with fixed dome network cameras from VIVOTEK, a surveillance subsidiary of Delta.
