Red Lion N-Tron NT116 Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switch

The N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch has been launched by Red Lion, a manufacturer of cutting-edge technologies that enable industrial organizations to connect, access, and visualize their data. This unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch is intended for industrial applications that require dependable performance for mission-critical applications under robust conditions.Red Lion N-Tron NT116 Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switch the volt post

For data capture, Ethernet I/O, and process management, the NT116 unmanaged switch provides outstanding performance and dependability. The device is enclosed in a rugged industrial metal shell and is small in size, with 16 high performance copper ports (10/100BaseTX RJ45).

High shock and vibration tolerance are features of the NT116, and integrated ESD and surge protection is included in every port. Sleek and space-saving, with a 1.2 million hour MTBF rating, this device offers users excellent performance in a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

The NT116 provides full wire speed communications with a throughput of up to 3.2 Gb/s for reliable network support. The device supports both full and partial duplex operation and employs store-and-forward technology. For redundancy, two 10-49 VDC power inputs are included.

The 116TX unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch from Red Lion is being replaced by the N-Tron NT116. The new switch is certified for ATEX and IECEx, as well as UL Ordinary and Hazardous environments, in addition to IEEE 802.3 compliance with certifications for rolling stock, railroads, and maritime applications.

The new N-Tron NT116 from Red Lion simplifies the collection of critical performance data. The robust and resilient design of this architecture ensures that it can endure the harsh circumstances encountered in control networks on manufacturing floors, as well as in the oil and gas, utilities, wastewater treatment, alternative energy, rail, intelligent traffic control, and transportation sectors.

“When industrial equipment operators and business leaders can access their data seamlessly and quickly, they derive more value from it. The N-Tron® NT116 unmanaged industrial ethernet switch minimizes downtime and maximizes throughput to improve efficiency and drive operational performance,” said Diane Davis Product Manager.
