Planetary Systems Corporation is targeting the strict demands of orbital and ground-test signal transfer with a highly robust 15-pin separation connector pair. Now available through Powell Electronics, the 4000106C lower and 4000107C upper connectors are engineered to prevent in-flight rotation while integrating seamlessly with Lightband systems in both stowed and deployed configurations.

Achieving NASA’s Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL-9), the hardware relies on spring pins and a negative insertion force to secure the electrical junction. The resulting low-mass, compact design is purpose-built for spaceflight environments where payload weight, footprint, and interface reliability are critical constraints.
To survive the punishing realities of launch and orbit, the connector pair includes built-in EMI gasketing alongside high resistance to both vibration and debris. A keyed interface guarantees precise alignment during mating, and the included attachment hardware streamlines the final assembly process for integration teams.
