The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati will host the India International Science Festival (IISF) from November 30, 2024, to December 3, 2024. This year’s IISF is being organized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), whose nodal department is the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (CSIR-NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram), a CSIR constituent laboratory.
IIT Delhi hosted the inaugural IISF, a remarkable celebration of science society involvement that was started in 2015. This science festival was conceived by the Indian science organization Vijnana Bharati. This festival will be observed for the first time in North East India.
Thousands of people gather each year to promote scientific collaboration, stimulate young minds, and advance economic growth through scientific methods, making the India International Science Festival the nation’s largest science event to date.
In 2024, IISF will take place at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in Assam from November 30 to December 4. “Transforming India into an S&T driven Global Manufacturing Hub” is the subject for the tenth edition of IISF. It represents the government’s goal of combining industrial development with science and technology to establish India as a worldwide manufacturing leader.
