The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) gave Toshi Hasegawa, an employee of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, the IEC 1906 Award on October 8. This award, which is granted to individuals who have significantly contributed to the IEC’s establishment of standards in the disciplines of electrical and electronic technology, has been won by a Yokogawa employee for the second year in a row.
29 alone are from Japan out of 228 recipients of this prize in 2024.Others hail from 25 different nations. Mr. Hasegawa has been contributing to the development of industrial process measurement control standards on the IEC/TC 65 technical committee as an expert in field instrumentation for industrial use wireless devices.
For the steady use of wireless technology in manufacturing facilities, they include wireless coexistence management standards and industrial wireless communications standards. This honor is given to him in appreciation of the many years of contributions he has made to these standardization efforts.
