Synaptics and Mouser Electronics have announced a new worldwide distribution deal. The portfolio of Synaptics comprises embedded IoT solutions, application-specific system-on-chip (SoC) technology, low-power edge compute and AI solutions, and more will now be avialable from Mouser Electronics.
The Astra Machina Foundation Series of evaluation-ready kits, which include the Synaptics SL1640 evaluation kit, provide quick and simple development for the Synaptics SL-Series of multimodal embedded processors.
The kit’s foundation is the SL1680 embedded IoT processor, which has high-performance computation engines such a multi-TOPS NPU, a high-efficiency, feature-rich GPU, and a quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A73 64-bit CPU subsystem.
With hardware accelerators for edge inferencing, security, graphics, vision, and audio, the SL1680 evaluation kit offers a blend of performance and feature integration tailored for multimodal consumer, enterprise, and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) workloads.
The SL1620 SoC, which is made and tuned for embedded applications that need strong processing, cutting-edge AI capabilities, and 3D graphics, makes development simple with the Synaptics SL1620 evaluation kit.
This chip has two displays, a companion Synaptics SoC for networking and audio front end, Linux® OS, excellent audio algorithms, and a number of peripherals.
A common I/O board, interchangeable core computing modules, flexible I/O options, and daughter cards for debugging and communication are all included in the three Astra Machina Foundation Series evaluation kits. Additionally, the kits incorporate the Synaptics Veros wireless solution for Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
