The “Shift It! – Warehouse Automation Challenge” has been announced by element14. The unique challenge to enable 15 chosen engineers and designers to develop a solution that will assist in automating a warehouse. Potential participants must apply for “Shift It! – Warehouse Automation Challenge” by 19 June.
Selected participants of “Shift It! – Warehouse Automation Challenge” will receive a bundle of TE Connectors and Arduino Uno Robotics Shields to enable them to build their robotics movement projects. Challengers are tasked with using four or more of the TE Connectivity Products within their designs.
The ability to create whatever project one wants that would automate a warehouse is available to members. Examples of such projects include electronic stock taking, automated timesheet systems, automated movement, automatic inventory systems, and worker safety systems.
Dates To Remember For the Unique Warehouse Automation Challenge:
- Applications close on 19 Jun.
- Selected challengers will have until 28 Augustto complete their projects and blog posts.
- Winners will be announced in September 2024.
- Prizes Includes: Apple iPad Pro 11-Inch, iRobot Roomba Self Emptying Robot Vacuum Clearer and an iPad Mini 10.9 Inch.
“Automation has already changed the way tasks are performed in warehouses and factories, and it will only continue to do so,” said Andreea Teodorescu, Global Director of Product Marketing & element14 Community. “We’re excited to offer our Community members the opportunity to experiment with the process themselves and see the potential of robotics for large scale applications.”
Potential participants must apply by 19 June. Once selected, challengers must post their progress and final project in at least five blog posts by 28 August in order to compete for prizes such as an Apple iPad Pro 11-Inch, iRobot Roomba Self Emptying Robot Vacuum Clearer and an iPad Mini 10.9 Inch.
Anyone who completes their project and the five blog posts will receive the finisher prize, a MultiComp Pro Multimeter Set.
Blog entries with images, videos, and code samples, as well as creative applications of movement and effective use of TE connection components, will be given preference throughout the judging process.
