Renesas Electronics Corporation expanded its timing solutions portfolio. Designed to cater the wireline infrastructure, data center and industrial applications, Renesas’ expanded timing solutions portfolio are a new ultra-low 25fs-rms clock solution.
Ultra-low jitter clock generators and jitter attenuators with 8 and 12 outputs are part of the new FemtoClock 3 family.

The FemtoClock 3 Family Timing Solutions are intended for use in broadcast audio and video, medical imaging, telecom switches and routers, top-of-rack data center switches, and other applications.
In order to satisfy the demands of 112Gbps SerDes speeds and next-generation 224Gbps SerDes designs employing widely accessible 48MHz to 73MHz crystals, FemtoClock 3 devices offer industry-leading phase noise and jitter.
The highly integrated devices reduce board complexity and expense by offering integrated LDOs (Low Drop Out regulators) with improved PSRR and the ability to produce up to four frequency domains.

FemtoClock 3 is capable of several operating modes, such as clock production, jitter reduction, and synchronization.
For their high-performance wireline infrastructure and data center designs, customers may combine the new FemtoClock 3 solution with the larger ClockMatrix, VersaClock, buffer, and oscillator portfolio of timing solutions to satisfy demanding timing demands.
With FemtoClock 3 Family Timing Solutions, users may easily setup and program devices on the evaluation board by utilizing it with the cutting-edge Renesas IC Toolbox (RICBox) application.
Furthermore, RICBox connects to the Renesas Lab via the Cloud platform, enabling users to establish a virtual connection to a real laboratory environment.
