IEEMA(Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association) launches its flagship three-day event fostering the Power Distribution Industry.
IEEMA announced the 6th edition of the flagship event DistribuELEC and IntELEC with the 3rd Edition of BuildELEC (BID) 2024.
The three-day event, by IEEMA is to kick-start from 16 – 18 January. The DistribuELEC, IntELEC and BuildELEC (BID) 2024 of IEEMA was inaugurated by the Shri R K Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy, Govt. Of India, in Mumbai.
BID 2024 of IEEMA aligns its ambition with Government of India to become from a power deficit to power supply nation inking a new chapter for the Indian Power Distribution Industry.
DistribuELEC, IntELEC and BuildELEC (BID) 2024 by IEEMA is one of India’s premier exhibition on hi-tech power distribution.
This year’s edition of IEEMA DistribuELEC, IntELEC and BuildELEC (BID) 2024 offers an expansive showcase of products, technologies, and services covering the entire spectrum upto 33KV further promoting Power Distribution Industry.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shri R K Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Power, New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India, said, “I congratulate IEEMA on kick-starting the proceedings for BuildELEC, IntELEC, DistribuELEC 2024. In the past 9 years, we have brought great transformational changes in our industry, transforming the power sector from being power-deficient to power-sufficient. In the last 9 years, with the addition of 1,90,700 ckm (which is about 65% increase), the transmission network of 4,79,185 ckm has evolved as the largest national synchronous grid in the world. The total inter-regional power transmission capacity is enhanced to 1,16,540 MW, more than double in 9 years. We have set a huge ambition in energy transition and plan to have 500 GW of non-fossil-based electricity installed capacity by 2030. We have installed Renewable Energy capacity of 1,79,570 MW (43% of our total capacity) and another 99,000 MW is under installation. My Ministry has rolled out the plan for 500 GW Generation as well as transmission system for evacuation of this power.”
Hamza Arsiwala, President IEEMA, added, “The fact that BID 2024 has more than doubled in size from the previous edition, is a testament of the growth Indian Electrical Equipment industry is seeing, as a result of the power reforms and the fast pace of transformation that the power sector is undergoing for the past 9 years.”
Talking about industry growth, Ms Charu Mathur, Deputy General of IEEMA said, “As a first in BID 2024, 200+ international buyers and 100+ domestic buyers will be meeting 250+ exhibitors in more than 3,000 B2B meetings over the next three days. We expect more than 50,000 visitor footfalls.”
IEEMA also announced its Quality, Safety and Reliability (QSR) Programme in the presence of the Hon’ble Power Minister. The QSR programme will have an intense campaign to promote quality in the Indian industry.
DistribuELEC, IntELEC and BuildELEC (BID) 2024 will also witness traditional electrical equipment, including transformers, cables, capacitors, switchgears, meters, insulators, and conductors promoting Power Distribution Industry.
IEEMA DistribuELEC, IntELEC and BuildELEC (BID) 2024 to foster Power Distribution Industry by sharing cutting-edge innovations in distribution automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, advanced metering, communications technologies, cybersecurity, and electrical fire safety.
This year for the event, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) will be the host utility.
