ZOOZ Power Doubles Ultrafast Charging Capacity in Israel

Following the launch of its first Dor-Alon station booster in May 2024, ZOOZ POWER announced that its cutting-edge power boosting and management solution, ultra-fast chargers has been installed and is operating at a second Dor-Alon station on Route 6, the Cross-Israel Highway.ZOOZ Power Ultra-Fast Chargers in Second Dor Alon Station the volt post

Afcon Electric Transportation, a top charge point operator (CPO) in Israel, and ZOOZ Power, a well-known gas station network operator, collaborated to create these new ultra-fast chargers installation powered with flywheel technology.

The way that ZOOZ Power‘s technology operates is by utilizing stored kinetic energy to augment the restricted grid supply while dynamically controlling charging. This maximizes infrastructure use without requiring expensive improvements, and it also increases income prospects for the site owner.

These sites are the first in the world to use flywheel technology to enhance four 150kW ultra-fast chargers while using only a 300kW grid connection, saving the facility from needing to be upgraded to a 600kW connection.

They might improve services for EV drivers along one of Israel’s busiest highways and perhaps satisfy the growing need for ultra-fast charging capabilities.

Avi Cohen, Executive Chairman of ZOOZ Power said, “Our latest collaboration with Dor-Alon and AfconEV is ushering in a new era of ultra-fast chargers. This partnership marks another important milestone in advancing ultra-fast charging services and enhancing driving experiences for EV drivers. By optimizing limited grid infrastructure through intelligent energy management, we are enabling significant increase in revenue and facilitating profitable ultra-fast chargers rollouts. These advancements would be unattainable without massive upfront grid investments.”

This development comes after ZOOZ POWER’s earlier announcement Power that The Cross-Israel Highway, one of the busiest travel routes in Israel, has upgraded its “ON” charging station at Dor-Alon Station with the successful implementation of ZOOZ POWER’s ground-breaking Power Boosting technology.
