The wireless electricity major, Wi-Charge, announces the release of new digital displays that can be powered wirelessly and are meant to enhance office and conference room booking solutions. The innovative wireless charging technology from Wi-Charge is incorporated into the Wi-Spot 3.0 devices, which have already seen a rapid uptake in the retail sector, said its official release.Wi-Charge New Digital Displays with Wi-Spot 3.0 Devices the volt post

This allows businesses to install conference room displays anywhere in the office without having to drill holes or run wires, making installations on glass, wood, sliding doors, and other surfaces easier than ever.

Organizations are reevaluating how technology may enhance conference room management, communications, and cooperation in the workplace as more employees return to the workplace. Wi-Charge has redesigned its Wi-Spot video displays in response to this market need so that they may be installed in the hundreds of thousands of workplaces that are finding it difficult to keep track of conference room reservations and co-working spaces.

Important corporate or office announcements, interesting video material promoting business events and culture, and vital company information about meeting room occupancy are all displayed on the Wi-Spot screens. At seven inches, the Wi-Spot resembles an iPad or Android tablet in design. It interacts with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, and office management apps like Robin and Envoy with ease.

Avoiding the trouble and expense of wiring extra cables and outlets around the workplace to keep digital displays charged is one of the obstacles associated with placing them in offices, especially when they are mounted on glass or pricey wood conference room doors. By creating a wireless electricity system that can be easily mounted in the ceiling and sends infrared light to a receiver embedded in the Wi-Spot display, which then turns the light into electricity to power the device, Wi-Charge has solved these problems.

Building operators and office administrators can profit from the Wi-Spot’s ability to eliminate the necessity for running wire to the digital display devices in several ways.

These benefits include:

  • Eliminates/lowers the cost and time of creating wiring schematics
  • Reduces the cost of permit reviews and electrical certifications
  • Simplifies the installation process, reducing the complicated coordination of multiple subcontractors at the same time typically required when installing wired devices.

“Wi-Charge’s wirelessly powered displays provide the ideal solution for our corporate customers who want to leverage their investment in office space to improve company collaboration, culture, and business performance,” said Marissa Eyon, owner of FASTSIGNS of Springfield, VA. “The Wi-Spot solution is perfect for conference rooms with glass walls and doors, and content can even be customized to instruct nightly crews on which rooms to clean and which to ignore. I expect to see Wi-Spots in every office and conference room in the coming months and years.”

“We’re excited to watch a growing number of buildings being outfitted with wirelessly powered video displays. Initial customers have bought Wi-Spots to use on sliding glass doors but have used them throughout the building as they got used to the ease of installation offered by wireless power,” said Ori Mor, chief business officer, Wi-Charge. “We have no doubt we’ll see more and more wireless solutions adopted across smart buildings and commercial office space.”
